The Post Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is a computer based adaptive placement exam, taken by students seeking admittance to the Florida public (community) colleges.This test has three sub tests: Reading, Writing and Math, each containing 30 questions, and is un-timed. Students receive the test results immediately.
Middle and High school students seeking to earn college credits, dual enrollment, or admittance to the School of Advanced Studies (SAS), Miami Dade College honors college, and Florida community colleges take this test. One can take this in the centers located within the Florida State colleges and Universities, in selected locations within the states of AZ, CA and the Bahamas.
Since there are no set dates to take the test, whenever ready, the student can take this test on a walk-in basis. If the test centers do not accept an appointment, arrive early. This will help reduce the stress of taking an exam.
