FAQ on Registration and Tuition Fees (Subject to revision):
What is your fee structure?
The main fee is the tuition. We offer multiple packages that suit a variety of needs. If you enroll more than one child and/or more than one course, you will receive a significant discount on tuition. The other fee you may expect to pay is an annual registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable. Payments are due before services are rendered.
How do you protect personal information?
All internet-based financial transactions occur through a SSL encrypted connection, so all of your transactions are confidential, safe and secure. We do not have access to your CC information.
Why do you charge a registration fee?
Every enrolled child is charged an annual registration fee. This fee helps keep your monthly tuition costs low by offsetting the administrative cost, support services, and upkeep cost in our tutor-management portal. The registration fee is non-refundable.
When you register a child, we devote resources preparing for your child’s participation in the coming year. Rosters and attendance records are prepared for all tutees and tutors. The registration fee covers a portion of the expenses involved in the time and materials to make these initial preparations each year, as well as updates throughout the semester.
The registration fee also covers technology, supplies, communication, insurance costs, etc. which are separate expenses from class tuition. This fee is payable once every school year: August to June.
What does the tuition fee cover?
The tuition fee pays for much more than the instruction. The tuition fee covers the tutor’s and the administrative staff’s salaries, tutor training, books, learning materials, photocopies, instructional aids, subscription to educational resources, venue, and much more.
At FPLA, we work as a team to ensure you and your child’s success. Our friendly and knowledgeable admission counselor discusses our programs with parents, assesses every child’s need, and assigns the appropriate tutors. Our certified tutors devote their full time educating your child, while the administrative team takes care of the logistics such as scheduling, quality control, grant access to learning materials, billing and more. The tutors also work together to ensure your child receives quality service you count on.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, checks, money orders, ACH, credit (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa) and debit cards.
*ACH is a method of efficiently transferring funds between bank accounts. It is very similar to payment by check, except that there is less paperwork. It frees you from writing, mailing and or depositing a check. Each paper check has printed on it the same bank routing number and account number as are used in an ACH payment. ACH payments can be scheduled in advance and are much more efficient to administer than paper checks.
Do you charge a credit card fee?
No. We do not charge a credit card processing fee.
Do you inform in advance about payment deductions from my bank or credit card accounts?
At the time of enrollment, we will notify you of the impending payment due dates. A few days prior to each scheduled payment date, you will receive a reminder notification from us. At that time, you have the option to pay. We make it convenient for you by auto charging the CC on file.
When will my tuition and registration fee be debited from my bank or credit card account?
Your registration fee will be charged at the time of enrollment. We offer bimonthly payments. The tuition fee is due before the start of each two-week session. Payments are due before a service is rendered and non-refundable. Unused tuition fee can be used to reschedule a session that was cancelled on time. However, all the fees are non-refundable.
What happens if I discover that I won't be able to make a scheduled payment?
We understand that families experience financial difficulties. If you find that your account will not contain enough funds at the right time to cover a scheduled payment, please let us know at least three days prior to the date of a scheduled payment. We will work together to make a new plan and adjust your payment schedule accordingly. Your child’s success is our #1 priority; therefore, we will work with you so that the tutoring sessions are not interrupted.
